We’re looking for an experienced UX Design Lead to join a global organisation driving large-scale digital transformation. This is a hybrid position based in Barcelona, offering the opportunity to lead and shape innovative user experiences that impact millions worldwide.
About the Role
As UX Design Lead, you’ll balance hands-on design leadership (around 60%) with team management and mentorship (around 40%). You’ll guide a talented UX team in delivering high-quality, user-centered digital experiences, while still being directly involved in strategy, research, and design execution.
This is an ideal role for a designer who enjoys both creating and coaching, with the scope to influence design direction across multiple digital products and platforms.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and contribute to the full UX design process - from discovery and user research through prototyping and delivery.
* Define and communicate design vision, principles, and best practices across teams and stakeholders.
* Manage and mentor UX/UI designers, providing feedback, guidance, and career support.
* Collaborate closely with product, development, and business teams to ensure design excellence and consistency.
* Champion accessibility, usability, and evidence-based design across all digital initiatives.
* Help evolve and maintain a scalable design system and design standards.
What We’re Looking For
* 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design, including leadership or management experience.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work across complex digital products.
* Excellent command of tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
* Deep understanding of user research, interaction design, and usability principles.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working in agile or cross-functional product teams.
* Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
* Experience building and maintaining design systems.
* Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
* Experience leading distributed or international design teams.
