Profile: Analyst Architect (AA)/software architect.
Duration: initial contract from 02/01/26 to 29/01/2027, with annual extensions beyond that point (to a total of 4 years).
Location: off-site (fully remote).
Responsibilities
* Requirements Gathering
o Collect and document detailed business needs from experts and stakeholders.
o Analyse documentation, such as ERA technical documents, processes, related EC Implementing Regulations/Decisions.
o Analyse system interfaces and business rules.
o Produce clear and structured documentation such as:
+ Use Cases
+ Functional Requirements
+ Business Process Flows
+ Technical Specifications (where applicable)
+ Other types of relevant documents.
o Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, accurate and traceable.
* Workshops & Stakeholder Engagement
o Organise and coordinate workshops, interviews, questionnaires or use other relevant techniques to elicit requirements and validate solutions.
o Facilitate discussions to clarify scope and priorities.
* Analysis & Design Support
o Draft diagrams (e.g., process maps, data flow diagrams) to illustrate interactions and dependencies.
o Prepare lightweight mock-ups or wireframes to visualize proposed solutions early in the process.
o Support feasibility checks and impact analysis.
* Collaboration
o Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
o Track changes and maintain updated documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
o Act as back‑up to the User Assistance Engineer: user support, data validation and quality assurance, if requested by the Agency.
Technical expertise
* Strong experience in application, cloud, infrastructure, and data architecture.
* In‑depth knowledge of SOA, application design, Enterprise Architecture, and modelling tools (UML, BPMN, or equivalent).
* Proficient in programming languages such as .NET and Java, Relational DBMS, interoperability technologies (web services, middleware, service bus), and GIT.
* Familiar with software development methodologies: Agile, RUP, DevOps, CI/CD.
Experience
* 8+ years in IT; 4+ years in architecture/design and system development.
Additional Skills
* Business process analysis, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Working Conditions
* Team to be deployed: 1 Architect/Analyst + 3 User Assistance staff.
* Service hours are between 08:00 and 20:00 CET, with 8 hours/day and up to 40 hours/week per person (specific schedules agreed with the Head of the Operational Data Unit).
* Agency uses ITIL and MS Office; all documentation and training will be provided.
* Work and deliverables must be in English.
Rate: 250€-280€/day.
