Headquartered in London with offices in UK, Europe, USA, Middle East, our client is a leading infrastructure investment firm managing over £12 billion through seven core infrastructure funds and co-investment funds, often dedicated to larger infrastructure projects. Their investment focus includes sectors such as Energy Transition, social infrastructure, transportation, and regulated utilities across the UK and Europe.
The firm aims to hold assets long-term, typically for the life of the funds, with over 325 core infrastructure projects acquired since inception, establishing a strong reputation as a trustworthy, innovative, and agile fund manager.
Asset Management Overview :
Asset Management oversees all portfolio assets from financial close, ensuring:
* Effective onboarding of assets with appropriate service provisions, pricing, and financial models.
* Full oversight including Board Directorships and stakeholder communication.
* Good governance and oversight of Management Service Providers (MSPs).
* Operational and financial performance reporting.
* Implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance yield and value.
* Regular communication of asset performance to Fund Management, Investors, and the Board.
Assets :
The current infrastructure assets have an enterprise value of over £100bn, spanning Energy Transition, Transport, Network Utilities, and Social Infrastructure sectors.
Working with Fund Management :
Fund Management, within Asset Management, monitors and informs on asset risk, performance, and value, and collaborates on asset optimization and reporting.
Your role : Associate Director
The company is seeking an Associate Director to manage a growing platform in Spain (~€1bn assets) including Solar PV, Onshore Wind, and Battery Storage (Project Summit). The role may expand to add value across the Energy Transition team.
The role encompasses :
* Management responsibilities, including statutory Board Directorships, overseeing MSP contractual obligations, asset handovers, and reporting.
* Commercial analysis, including assessing business plans, managing budgets, and identifying operational risks and opportunities.
* Strategic contributions, proposing project value enhancements, and staying updated on regulatory changes in Spain and the EU.
The individual must be able to :
* Present information clearly in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
* Report project details to stakeholders and committees.
* Think quickly to resolve complex issues.
The successful candidate will also be required to :
* Build strong stakeholder relationships.
* Travel within Spain and occasionally in Europe.
* Stay informed on industry developments and regulatory changes.
Key attributes :
* Experience working in Spain.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
* Strong team player and analytical thinker.
* Comfortable with complex financial models and managing multiple SPVs.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education and experience :
* Proven renewables sector experience, ideally in Spain.
* Experience with Solar PV and Wind assets in Asset Management, M&A, or Advisory roles.
* Financial modeling skills.
* Experience managing service providers.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Degree in a related field preferred.
