We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our multicultural team, providing legal, compliance, and IP support to the EMEA business. This team is part of the Bridgestone legal department within the Bridgestone West (EMEA & Americas) business. The Bridgestone Corporation Legal Department is a global legal community of more than two hundred Legal, Compliance & IP teammates, who share best practices and align their work across the globe.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be primarily responsible for the EMEA region. You will act as a true business partner, working closely with global stakeholders from various departments. Your responsibilities include drafting and negotiating IT-focused and general commercial contracts, providing pragmatic, risk-based legal and compliance advice and training. Since data is central to BMS’ business, strong data privacy skills are essential to support the sales teams in closing deals. You will also have the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary, global working groups on legal and non-legal projects such as legal tech, legal operations, diversity, and ways of working.

Who are you?
* Master of Laws, preferably in English, from a European university
* Approximately 6-8 years of experience in private practice and/or in-house roles
* Experience in drafting and negotiating IT/Tech (SaaS) contracts and handling data privacy matters
* Team player with good commercial awareness, strong communication skills, and a solutions-oriented attitude
* Ability to work independently and take responsibility
* Adaptability to changing environments and innovative thinking
* Patience, humility, and ability to support a diverse, multicultural client base
* Residence in the Netherlands or Barcelona, Spain; fluent in English
* Willingness to mentor junior team members
