Responsibilities
- Project Leadership and Delivery: Manage a project as Project Manager overseeing interdisciplinary clinical research programs, ensuring compliance with GCPs, SOPs and regulatory requirements. Act as primary liaison between the Company and the Customer to ensure project launch, conduct, and closeout per contractual agreements. Lead the clinical team to maintain quality, timelines and budget. Account for financial performance and all project deliverables. Coordinate activities of all project conduct partners and proactively identify and manage issues.
- Reporting and Communication: Maintain project information in databases and systems. Track progress with timelines and analysis tools. Ensure inspection readiness for all project aspects (including Trial Master Files). Oversee development and implementation of project plans in line with controlled documents.
- Team and Resource Management: Prepare, coordinate, and present project material at internal and external meetings. Direct activities of Project Support staff;
line manage and mentor other PMs and clinical staff;
foster team building and communication. Prepare reports for clients and management. Implement resource strategies and develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies.
- Business Development: Participate in bid defense meetings and develop relationships with current clients to generate new or added business. Stay aware of therapeutic environment and drug development trends.
- Management: May train and support new Project Managers. Facilitate training with protocol and project requirements;
may line manage other project management and monitoring staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, nursing or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH guidelines, regulatory requirements, drug development process and clinical monitoring.
- Clinical research organization (CRO) and relevant therapeutic experience preferred.
- Strong time management and ability to work independently. Ability to embrace new technologies.
- Excellent written and spoken communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to mentor and manage new staff and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel as necessary (approximately 25%).

Summary
The position provides customer-focused leadership in managing and delivering the operational and financial aspects of one or more clinical projects from proposal development to final deliverables, ranging in size and complexity. May oversee less experienced Project Managers and have line management responsibilities.
