ABOUT THE ROLE
Global Buyer is responsible for defining, implementing, and executing global sourcing strategies across overall procurement, covering a wide range of maintenance-related services, HR and professional services, as well as CAPEX associated with factory and site operations. The role also requires a solid general understanding of direct materials procurement to ensure alignment with manufacturing and supply chain requirements.
This position ensures end-to-end procurement performance across business units by leading strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating and managing global contracts, developing and maintaining strategic supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement.
The Global Buyer partners closely with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and contributes to value creation through cost optimization, risk management, innovation, and sustainability, delivering measurable benefits
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Implement and monitor action plans derived from Category Management strategies and Procurement Business Partner guidance.
* Support the Global Lead Buyer for the category by contributing to strategy execution, market analysis, and sourcing initiatives.
* Build and deliver a savings pipeline aligned with global procurement targets.
* Lead global RFIs/RFPs, competitive bidding processes, and key contract negotiations within the category.
* Report status, risks, performance indicators, and savings achievements for sourcing activities.
* Track market trends, technology evolution, and supplier innovations relevant to the category.
* Conduct benchmarking and incorporate best practices from other industries.
* Drive robust supplier management including performance reviews, business reviews, compliance monitoring, and improvement plans.
* Ensure mastery of Procurement excellence principles: Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Market Intelligence, Risk Management, Innovation / Sustainability / CSR, HSE and Quality compliance
* Work closely with Procurement Services teams to leverage middle‑office and back‑office capabilities.
REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement or a closely related field (preferably in Medical Devices, Packaging, or Industrial environment).
* Master’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
* Fluent English for daily business communication.
* Additional languages are considered a strong asset.
* Strong stakeholder management skills
