Description of the Role
The Customer Service & Logistics coordinator will provide a high level of service through efficient and effective support to customers serviced by Gurit Composites Materials AG and coordinate all shipments and prepare all required shipping documentation in line with international legislation.
Order Management
* Receive, process and acknowledge customer orders accurately and within 24 hours – returning a Sales Order Acknowledgement within 48 hours.
* Maintain customer master data such as address and contact information; pricing details; customer part numbers; specification numbers etc. within ERP and other relevant systems liaising with colleagues for information as required.
* Manage customer expectations appropriately and professionally. Respond to customer enquiries and refer/escalate when required.
Logistics
* Request/source freight quotes for customers, logging necessary information in central storage for future reference, analysis & assessment.
* Manage customer freight requirements (in line with Incoterms 2010 rules).
* Produce and maintain accurate shipping documentation within ERP and/or other systems.
Demand Forecasting
* Liaise with Sales and/or customer to gain accurate demand forecast data for 0‑3 month period.
* Enter approved forecast data to ERP / order processing system as required.
* Maintain overview of the planned orders ex 3rd party suppliers.
* Ensure stock level of semi‑finished materials are available based on forecasted planning.
* Providing sales and order information reports to Sales and operational teams as and when required and provide supporting data required by Sales for the completion of forms – New Account Set Up, New Product Code etc.
Additional Duties
* Ensure maintenance of information within Gurit’s Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
* Keep record of problems and delays to aid improvement of processes. Assist with monitoring Gurit OTIF measurements.
* Undertake ad‑hoc day‑day and tactical tasks/projects as required.
Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of shipping/transport regulations, including Incoterms 2010 rules, and production of required shipping paperwork.
* Knowledge of Export Control End‑User regulations, beneficial.
* A general understanding of composite market, customers, products, manufacturing routes and business process flow, beneficial.
* Proven track record of dealing with freight forwarders.
* Experience of making freight bookings including in the use of web‑based portals.
