Your Role
We are seeking a Technical Lead with expertise in Data Warehouse and Data Lake architecture, along with Cloud Analytics. This role requires extensive experience in Snowflake and DBT, acting as the technical lead for the end-to‑end delivery of our cloud data products.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in designing Cloud Analytics solutions and scalable cloud data warehouses using advanced data modeling techniques like Data Vault 2.0, along with proficiency in SQL and Python. As a hands‑on leader, you will oversee the technical design and implementation of data flows and solutions, manage semantic ontologies for enhanced data interoperability, and translate requirements into efficient implementations that support downstream systems, including reporting, analytics, decision support, and (Generative) AI solutions.
* Lead the end-to‑end lifecycle of cloud data products with a cross‑functional team.
* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Snowflake/DBT architecture and best practices.
* Design and implement data modeling techniques (OLTP, OLAP, Data Vault 2.0, semantic ontology).
* Write optimized SQL for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
* Use Python for advanced data processing and system integration.
* Develop and maintain data pipelines using DBT and ETL processes in Snowflake.
* Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to create scalable data solutions.
* Automate DBT jobs and build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and aid with building comprehensive data tests and unit tests.
* Ensure data quality and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.
* Document data models and workflows for knowledge sharing.
* Mentor junior developers to promote continuous learning.
Who You Are
* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 8+ years of experience as a Snowflake Developer and 10+ years in data modeling (OLAP, OLTP, Data Vault 2.0) and data warehousing.
* Extensive hands‑on experience with complex SQL queries and advanced Python for data manipulation and analysis.
* Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
* Experience building data pipelines using DBT for data transformation and running jobs.
* Familiarity with performance tuning techniques in Snowflake, including query optimization.
* Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure DevOps, and knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
* Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Knowledge of semantic ontology is an add‑on.
* Experience in building GxP compliant data products is a plus.
* Familiarity with additional data technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and NIFI or OpenFlow is advantageous.
