DevOps Engineer II collaborates with a large team dedicated to designing, developing, and maintaining LS-DYNA, the industry-leading explicit simulation software for applications like crash, impact, fracture, fluid-structure interaction, and more. The role focuses on ensuring the efficiency and ease of use of software build tools and pipelines, utilizing automation to minimize manual intervention and improve system performance.Using advanced technical and problem-solving skills, the DevOps Engineer II addresses complex issues, meets customer requirements, and supports development objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform DevOps activities :
Maintain, monitor, document, and test product builds and packaging to ensure quality production builds.Configure and maintain tools for generating, deploying, and monitoring ANSYS product builds on Windows and Linux, both on Cloud and On-Premises infrastructure.Collaborate with development teams to create automated pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.Investigate, debug, and resolve platform-specific build failures across development, testing, and production environments to ensure high system reliability.Work with software development, infrastructure, and testing teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technological issues related to infrastructure, build, or packaging.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.At least 3 years of experience with CI / CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.Strong knowledge of Git, branching strategies, and version control tools like Azure Repos or GitHub.Experience with Linux, Docker, and containerization.Excellent interpersonal, team, and communication skills.Logical problem-solving skills and ability to communicate solutions clearly.Self-motivated with a sense of urgency, strong organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.Experience with project tracking tools like Azure DevOps Boards, JIRA.Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as SonarQube.Experience with high-performance and scientific computing.Additional InformationAt Ansys, we believe that changing the world requires vision, skill, and collaboration.
