Cooking and Preparation
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food products, including pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, garlic bread, and simple pasta dishes. This involves grating cheese, slicing and chopping vegetables and meat toppings, making fresh tomato sauces as needed, and assembling ingredients for various menu items.
To achieve this, the individual must be able to operate and monitor baking equipment, regulate oven temperatures, and control time cycles for optimal results. Additionally, they will need to ensure that the kitchen meets all relevant safety and health standards, maintaining cleanliness of equipment and utensils at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare pizza dough, cheese, and toppings for assembly and baking.
2. Create fresh tomato sauces for various menu items.
3. Assemble ingredients for calzones, sandwiches, garlic bread, and simple pasta dishes.
4. Operate and monitor baking equipment, adjusting temperature and time settings as necessary.
5. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
This role requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with colleagues and management. The ability to read and write is essential for facilitating communication and documentation.
The ideal candidate should also possess good organizational and prioritization skills, enabling them to meet deadlines under supervisory guidance. Auditory and visual abilities are crucial for detecting emergency situations, while the ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace is mandatory.
In addition to these requirements, the successful candidate will be able to perform tasks that involve walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting, with regular breaks and adequate physical support provided when necessary.
