The team values hospitality, wellness, and outstanding experiences.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time (breakfast and evening dinners 5 days a week), or part-time (if you prefer only evening dinners 5 days a week) on-site role for a Chef at a cycling hotel. The Chef will be responsible for preparing and serving freshly cooked meals, creating seasonal and nutritious menus tailored to the needs of active guests, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Key responsibilities include managing the kitchen operations, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, and sourcing local and fresh ingredients. We offer breakfast and a freshly cooked evening menu at 7.30pm each evening. The hotel is a small hotel so there can be between 5 and 40 guests depending. Average in high season (Mid March and end of October) is 20 guests. Hotel is closed December and January allowing for extended travel. The hotel has been open for over 16 years. QualificationsExpertise in culinary skills, including freshly cooked meal preparation (no microwave), menu planning, and presentationKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with experience in maintaining a clean and organized kitchenAbility to source and utilize fresh, local, and in season ingredientsExperience catering to dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, different allergies etc), including creating nutritious meals for active individualsStrong organizational skills and capacity to manage kitchen operations effectivelyExcellent teamwork and communication skillsFlexibility to adapt to changing customer preferences.Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience is preferredPassion for hospitality and an understanding of the needs of active travelers, particularly cyclists, is an advantage
