Real World Data Consultant
IQVIA's Real World Data area is focused on maximizing the insights and evidence contained in healthcare data, continuously seeking innovative processes and analytics to advance healthcare.
As a Real World Data (RWD) Consultant, you will lead the delivery of high-impact analytical projects using real-world data sources, working with RWD analysts and collaborating with cross-functional experts. Your role will combine project leadership, client engagement, market expertise, and supervision to translate data into strategic recommendations for top pharmaceutical clients.
Essential Functions of the role
1. Lead the design, execution, and delivery of multiple RWD projects simultaneously.
2. Oversee project risks, milestones, and client communication to ensure successful delivery.
3. Act as a primary client contact to translate business needs into robust analytical solutions.
4. Present findings and strategic recommendations to diverse stakeholders including Market Access, Medical, and Commercial teams.
5. Understand pathology/patient management and establish a link between data analysis and evidence generation.
6. Contribute to the development of proposals and commercial scoping efforts when needed.
7. Provide methodological guidance on study design and analytical approaches.
8. Collaborate with analysts using tools like SAS, SQL, Python, or R to derive actionable insights.
9. Work in cross-functional projects with high interaction with other company areas, building comprehensive solutions for clients and developing deep knowledge in commercial and clinical strategy research within the real-world human data of the life sciences industry.
10. Stay updated on the latest trends in the Spanish healthcare system and pharmaceutical dynamics.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in health science, Computer Science, or related discipline, with experience in analyzing healthcare data preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience working in pharma or consulting.
* Experience in manipulating and handling Big Data.
* Basic understanding of analytics tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Power BI) is a plus.
* Knowledge of healthcare, patient-level data, and pharmaceutical market.
* Strong consulting, creativity, critical thinking, project planning, and attention to detail skills.
* Proven experience managing healthcare analytics projects.
* Excellent communication skills to translate complex data into actionable business narratives.
* A proactive, innovative, and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think critically and independently.
* Flexible and adaptable in a client-focused, results-driven environment.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing, and team-oriented environment.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
