We are recruiting for a Commissioning Manager to work on a hyperscale datacentre project based in Madrid, Spain. Dornan is a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Europe and the UK.
Responsibilities
* Develop commissioning plans and schedules in coordination with project management, engineering, and construction teams.
* Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all commissioning related documentation, including procedures, checklists, and reports.
* Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials necessary for commissioning activities.
* Lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure the successful completion of commissioning activities.
* Implement quality control measures to ensure that commissioning activities meet project specifications and guidelines.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with commissioning activities, such as schedule delays and technical issues.
* Oversee the execution of functional testing, performance testing and validation to ensure functionality of systems and equipment.
What we are looking for
* Degree or Trade qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
* Commissioning certification would be desirable.
* Excellent IT skills in MS Office Suite and BIM 360 would be an advantage.
* 2 years experience in a similar role at management level.
* Detailed knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical industry standards, codes, and regulations.
* Knowledge of various testing procedures, methodologies, and tools used in the commissioning process.
* Proficiency in preparing detailed reports, manuals, and documentation for handover to operations team.
