With a proven track record and an innovative approach, they are looking to expand their team to help accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. /ppAbout the position: /ppThe Financial Controller is responsible for coordinating, administering and controlling financial operations of the company including the production of periodic financial reports: providing tax, insurance, and other reports required by governmental regulations; reviewing, analyzing and interpreting financial and budgetary reports, directing all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. Will oversee the development of a financial accounting system that will maintain accurate and accessible reporting for the company; brings to the attention of management any positive or negative trends in financial data; assures management is abreast of all pertinent accounting issues in a timely fashion; and maintains a comprehensive set of controls and budgets to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s financial results, and ensures that reported results comply with all generally accepted accounting principles. /ppResponsibilities: /pulliAssist leadership in the short and long-term budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate. /liliComply with local, state, federal, financial institutions, lenders and vendors report requirements and guidelines. /liliConsistently correct, organize, and analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep leadership abreast of financial status. /liliEnsures that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained according to company standards. Takes direction from the leadership to coordinate all audits and reviews the provisioning of information to external auditors for the annual audit or review. /liliSemimonthly payroll input and review /liliManages company cash flow to ensure adequate cash for optimum operations. Calculate variances form the budget and report significant issues to the leadership. /liliOversees the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the Department’s goals and objectives. /liliCompany account management and coordination with leadership. /liliAssist with expense tracking, invoice processing, and accounts payable coordination. /liliSupport budget preparation and vendor contract management. /liliLiaise with accountants and external advisors for compliance and reporting. /liliWork with leadership in management of the company. /li /ulpQualifications: /pulliBachelor’s degree required in accounting /lili3-5+years of accounting experience /liliRenewable/Energy experience preferred /liliConsolidation entries /liliAbility to organize and manage multiple priorities /liliAbility to handle change and unique situations as they arise /liliSolid professional and courteous communications skills both written and verbal /liliProficiency in English and Spanish required /li /ul
