I'm looking for a Mechanical Manager to take ownership of the mechanical package on a large-scale data center build in Spain. This is a key role on the project, working closely with the wider construction and engineering teams to ensure all mechanical systems are delivered to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:- Manage all aspects of the mechanical scope: HVAC, cooling systems, chilled water, fire protection, and plumbing.- Lead local subcontractors on-site, making sure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to spec.- Review designs and technical drawings, flagging any issues and ensuring compliance with client standards and local regulations.- Work closely with electrical, civil, and architectural teams to coordinate interfaces and avoid clashes.- Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.- Report on progress, risks, and solutions to the project leadership team.The ideal candidate will have:- Solid background as a Mechanical Manager, Package Manager, or Senior Mechanical Engineer on large-scale builds – ideally data centers or other mission-critical projects (pharma, semiconductor, etc.).- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, cooling, and fire protection systems.- Proven experience managing subcontractors and delivering packages on time and budget.- Commissioning experience on complex projects is a big plus.- Spanish fluency required;
Strong English languagecapabilities is also an advantage.- Must be able to be based in Galicia, Spain for the duration of the project.
