The Key Account Manager will be responsible for leading the following key areas for the Mass Market Channel in Spain and Italy (with a primary focus on Spain): We are looking for a profile with experience in key account management to support the development of the portfolio within the mass market channel in Spain. The role requires a good understanding of the Spanish retail environment, as well as experience working with distributors and buying groups.
The successful candidate will contribute to driving distribution, supporting the development of commercial relationships, and helping to achieve sustainable business growth in the Spanish market.
Key Responsibilities
Business Management:
Management and capability building of Italy and Spain distributors.
Business Planning:
Design and optimization, along with the Marketing Team, of Trade & Promo Plans for the Mass Market Channel.
Define key business drivers and commercial conditions guidelines.
Identify new business opportunities through market and trade data analysis.
Operational:
Sales KPIs reporting.
Ensure alignment between marketing strategies and sales execution.
Collaborate with distributors, Finance Manager, and Business Analyst on S& OP and forecasts.
Develop and manage relationships with key retail chains, distributors, and buying groups (e.G., Euromadi, IFA Group, Grupo GPD).
Lead commercial negotiations, listings, pricing strategies, and promotional plans.
Expand national distribution and increase shelf presence in strategic retailers.
Deliver sales targets, forecasts, and annual commercial plans for Spain.
Identify new growth opportunities.
Work cross-functionally to drive in-store activation and brand visibility. xhfqzwm
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (preferred)
5 years of experience in a similar role, including direct key account management in Mass Market
Strong experience managing relationships with leading Health & Beauty retailers in Spain (e.G., Mercadona, Carrefour, El Corte Inglés, Primor, Druni, Clarel, Alcampo, Consum, Eroski, Dia)
Experience working with retail buying groups and national distribution networks
Strong negotiation, strategic planning, and relationship management skills
Established network within retailers and distributors in Spain
Expertise in Mass Market Channel in Spain and Italy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Hands-on, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Fluent in English and Spanish;
Italian is a plus
