We are looking for a Senior IT Application Engineer who is passionate about shaping the future of analytics. You will play a key role in our exciting journey from SAP BW to a modern analytic data platform based on Microsoft Fabric.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the transition from legacy systems to cutting‑edge data solutions.
- Take ownership of challenging projects with ambitious timelines.
- Strong experience in IT application engineering and data analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with SAP BW and/or Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
- Design, develop, and optimize end‑to‑end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and modelling pipelines.
- Develop automation scripts, ETL workflows, and data transformation processes using Python.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and perform query performance tuning.
- Work with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouse architectures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (business, analytics, SAP teams) to gather and implement data requirements.
- Work on data extraction and integration scenarios with SAP S/4HANA (Good to Have).
- Experience with modern data structures and analytics in the Azure Cloud (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse).
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices across data pipelines.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows, and related components.
- Good knowledge of and experience with programming languages, libraries, and toolsets for Data Engineering (e.g.
Python, Pandas, SQL, Spark).
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Understanding of CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops, and Git‑based workflows.
- Exposure to Power BI or other BI tools.
