Description
ABOUT THE ROLE:
With the recent local and world market shift towards zero emission vehicles and benefitting from Volgren's strong focus on the design and development of innovative new bus solutions, we are looking to increase our workforce at this exciting time with talented individuals contributing to the overall success of our company.
We are looking for Skilled Auto Electricians/Trade Assistants with cable running experience to join our Production team within our Malaga facility. In this hands-on position, you will have a strong drive and motivation to succeed and be able to work in a safety conscious environment.
This Position enjoys a fortnightly RDO. Pay rate is market competitive and depends on experience and qualifications. This will be a permanent full-time opportunity and paid as per our Enterprise Agreement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES THAT MAY INCLUDE:
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on computer-controlled systems
- Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
- Dismantling, moving and replacing LV and HV electrical cables and electronic assemblies and components
- Connecting these power-operated vehicle components and accessories to the power supply
- Run premade wiring harnesses and power supplies on chassis and bodyshells
- Safely use hand and electrical tools
- Follow all relevant safety guidelines and SOP's
QUALIFICATIONS AND OR EXPERIENCE:
- Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology (AUR30320) or equivalent
- Skilled Trade Assistant with cable handling and running experience
WORK/TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- Auto electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of diagnostics tools for vehicle electrical and electronics
- Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics and circuit diagrams.
- Organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills
- Manufacturing or related industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, time management skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaborate with teams.
- Strong attention to detail, motivated, punctual, and prompt to act on support request)
OTHER LICENCES/CHECKS/LANGUAGES/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in English
- Australian car driver license, MR driver license is a bonus
Skills And Experiences
This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test
