YOUR MISSION
IJC is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for Research Partnership and Alliances focused on worldwide key collaborations in blood cancers, especially with Asian and Chinese institutions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and foster translational collaborations with Asian and Chinese organizations to develop joint research projects and initiatives of mutual interest in blood cancer, enhancing the institute’s international visibility and scientific impact.
- Ensure alignment between institutional partnerships and the IJC mission, objectives, and Strategic Plan.
- Establish and manage collaborative initiatives and projects through the appropriate agreements between partner institutions, monitoring their implementation and progress.
- Promote cooperation among international organizations and contribute to the development of high-impact scientific collaborations.
- Act as the main liaison between the IJC community and external international stakeholders, ensuring institutional relations strategies are aligned with the organization’s overall objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Scientific Director on research strategy and with the Managing Director and internal units to ensure effective coordination and smooth execution of collaborative projects and activities.
- Prepare presentations, briefing documents, and supporting materials for meetings and institutional activities related to international collaborations.
- Deliver reports and analyses assessing the impact and outcomes of the established alliances, partnerships, and collaborative projects.
WHAT WE NEED
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a scientific, economic or management field. PhD degree in Life Sciences will be an asset.
- Five years’ minimum work experience in scientific project management and international research collaborations.
- Three years’ minimum work experience in establishing alliances in the scientific field with Asian and Chinese organizations.
- English proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, planning, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and inclusively with others to achieve shared goals.
- Willingness to self‑improve and grow knowledge and skills.
- Passion for our mission and to contribute to boosting the societal impact of cancer research.

- Permanent Contract (“Indefinido por actividades científico técnicas”) linked to the implementation of the Strategic plan until 2030. The continuity of the position is linked to budgetary availability and favorable follow‑up of the initiatives achieved.
