NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the preparation of proposal for the EU funded project in SEA Lot 6: Education Sector Public Expenditure Review (PER) in Greenland and is searching for non-key experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.
The overall objective of the Education PER would be to provide evidence-based recommendations for: better fiscal management, efficiently and effectively use of public expenditures to support Greenland’s education sector, improve service delivery).
Data Analyst / Statistician (Category II)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth analysis of budget execution, fiscal policies, and financial oversight mechanisms.
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends in public spending and financial performance.
Conduct variance analysis and support cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness assessments.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across various sources.
Develop compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with finance, education, and policy experts to support integrated analytical outputs.
Contribute to the design and implementation of data collection strategies where needed.
Prepare analytical reports, briefs, and data summaries for stakeholders and decision-makers.
☝️ Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Proficiency in English (C1); Knowledge of Danish or Greenlandic is an asset.
☝️ Professional experience:
Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated expertise in data analysis, preferably in public finance, economics, or development sectors.
Advanced proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Python, STATA, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI).
Proven experience in handling large datasets and applying advanced statistical techniques.
Strong knowledge of public sector data, fiscal indicators, or development finance is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in accessible formats.
☝️ Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with government, development agencies, or international institutions.
Familiarity with open data standards, GIS, or machine learning tools is a plus.
Publication or authorship of relevant analytical reports or dashboards.
