Senior II Site Reliability Engineer Lead

Our Cloud team develops a high-performance SaaS Cloud Platform, enabling faster releases and scalable deployments. The team includes SREs and Software Engineers, working with technologies like Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, ArgoCD, Terraform, CI/CD, and Datadog.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of experienced SRE engineers.
* Develop and maintain Akamai's Cyber Security SaaS cloud platform.
* Design and implement cloud strategies and policies.
* Stay updated on SRE trends and act as a technical knowledge ambassador.
* Promote system reliability and operability.
* Design complex cloud architectures and solutions.
* Enforce quality processes and perform root cause analysis.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
* Engage in troubleshooting, code reviews, and system maintenance.
* Maintain high SLA targets for system uptime and performance.
Qualifications:
* 2+ years in a team lead or managerial role.
* Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, AWS, or Linode.
* Proficiency with IaC and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
* Software development experience in Python or GoLang.
* Experience managing Linux systems.
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* Knowledge of observability tools like Datadog, New Relic, or Grafana.
* Excellent communication skills.
