Job Description: Flight Test Instrumentation Laboratory Engineer for Airbus Defence & Space in Spain (Sevilla or Getafe site). The successful applicant will join the Engineering Area.
Responsibilities
* Part of a team responsible for the full life cycle of a Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI): from conception to deployment, including equipment and system integration.
* Definition and design of FTI installations onboard Flight Test Aircraft.
* Preparation of FTI documentation to be provided to aircraft installation design offices.
* Definition, performance, and documentation of FTI equipment and system integration tests on FTI laboratory facilities.
* Investigation and resolution of anomalies in service.
* Make or Buy process evaluation.
* Consideration of new instrumentation technologies where applicable.
Qualifications and Skills
* Education in Aeronautic, Telecommunication, or Electronic engineering.
* Experience in electronics development (component technology selection, electronics board design).
* Expertise in instrumentation and sensorics technology (acceleration, pressure, temperature, etc.).
* Knowledge of metrological principles.
* Experience with telemetry equipment (transmitters, antennas, amplifiers, cabling, and element calibration) and Global Navigation Satellite Systems.
* Knowledge of WAN/LAN protocols (TCP, UDP, IP, SNMP, Ethernet, etc.) and specific flight test instrumentation protocols (IENA, Chapter10).
* Familiarity with network simulation and analysis tools (Wireshark detectors, IPerf, etc.).
* Programming skills in LUA, LabVIEW, or Python.
* Knowledge of relevant documentation and tools (A/C installation documentation, NRD, A400M FTI block diagrams, drawing information sheets, FTI data sheets, Sabre, Sabre Criev, STILo, N‑Show, RODAS, EPD, TLB, FTI databases, DOORS, FIDA).
* High ability to understand and diagnose electronic devices and digital protocols.
* Team spirit to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, sometimes under pressure.
* Proactive problem‑finding and solution‑proposal capacity.
* Methodic, organized, and assertive profile.
* Advanced English proficiency.
