We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer specialized in Electrical & Instrumentation for our Inspection Department, reporting to the Procurement Area for EPC projects. The engineer will review vendor manufacturing documents (e.g., Manufacturing Purchase Specification, Inspection and Test Plan, Welding Dossier, Test Procedures, NDE Procedures) to ensure compliance with design, manufacturing codes, standards, and project specifications. They will report to the Procurement QC Manager (Project) and the Head of the Quality Control Engineers section (Corporate).
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Review project specifications related to manufacturing and quality control.
* Identify quality control requirements for purchase orders.
* Internally review quality control requirements before issuing POs to vendors.
* Review and comment on vendor manufacturing documents such as ITP, specifications, test procedures, and quality dossiers.
* Plan, coordinate, and schedule workshop inspection visits with inspection representatives from vendors, TR, and clients.
* Lead pre-inspection meetings for applicable POs.
* Request and select inspectors for inspection activities according to ITPs.
* Manage notices of inspections and attend critical inspection visits.
* Review, control, and distribute inspection reports.
* Manage NCRs with vendors and clients.
* Participate in project meetings across disciplines and with client inspection representatives.
* Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure understanding of project requirements and smooth manufacturing processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Telecom, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
* 5+ years of experience in quality control of electrical and instrumentation manufacturing.
* Experience in reviewing manufacturing and quality documents.
* Knowledge of E&I standards: IEC, IEEE, ISA.
* Knowledge of hazardous area classifications: ATEX, IECEx.
* Familiarity with ASME, API, ANSI codes.
* Experience with E&I equipment used in Oil & Gas industry.
* Fluent in English (B2-C1 level).
Location: Based in Madrid, with occasional business trips required.
