The Role
We are looking for an outstanding Director of Digital & E-commerce with a strong and proven background exclusively within the hospitality sector.
This is a strategic leadership role for a senior professional with extensive experience driving direct channel growth, leading digital media strategy, and optimizing distribution mix across OTA and owned channels.
The adecuado candidate has successfully increased direct revenue in hotel or hospitality companies and has deep knowledge of the OTA ecosystem and the levers required to balance channel performance effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall digital and e-commerce strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Drive significant growth in direct channel revenue (website, mobile, CRM-driven sales).
- Lead and optimize the digital media strategy (paid search, metasearch, display, paid social, retargeting, performance marketing).
- Manage and improve the distribution strategy, ensuring optimal balance between OTA sales and direct bookings.
- Deep understanding of the OTA ecosystem, including negotiation, visibility optimization, content strategy, and profitability management.
- Identify and activate the right commercial levers to maximize ADR, occupancy, and contribution margin across channels.
- Oversee website performance, UX/UI, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and booking engine strategy.
- Lead CRM, loyalty, promotional campaigns, and direct communication strategies.
- Manage content, pricing promotions, and commercial messaging across owned channels.
- Coordinate closely with Revenue Management, Operations, and external digital agencies.
Profile Requirements
- Mandatory: Extensive experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record as Head of Digital, Head of E-commerce, Director of Distribution, or similar senior role in hospitality.
- Demonstrated success increasing direct bookings and improving channel mix profitability.
- Deep knowledge of OTA platforms (Booking.Com, Expedia Group, Airbnb is a plus etc.), metasearch, and direct distribution ecosystems.
- Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Experience managing digital media budgets and performance marketing strategies.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic vision combined with hands-on execution capability.
- Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).
