Drawing, painting and traditional art skills are essential for this role as the curriculum at KS3 leads into the Edexcel Fine Art GCSE and A Level.
The ability to be adaptable and innovative in your approach to teaching art in an environment of high expectations as a key member of a successful art department at Laude San Pedro is essential.
Tasks
- To deliver engaging whole class lessons and further develop student's art skills at KS3.
- To plan an innovative and engaging curriculum of Art education from year 7 to year 9
- To further build the status and quality of work of Visual Arts within the school and wider community.
- To contribute to experiential and extra curricular learning opportunities to inspire and extend our students.
- To collaborate with the Arts team in further building a department that is fully engaging and inspiring for our student body.
- To contribute to the safeguarding of our students through duties and cover responsibilities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Art education.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Art or a related field.
- Teaching certification and/or relevant licensure.
- Experience in Teaching of UK KS3 curriculum.
- High level of personal artistic skill.
