We are helping one of our client, a top international Consulting Firm, finding a CFO for their Madrid office.
The CFO is the primary leader of the company’s financial strategy, acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Committee. In a growing consulting environment with ~600 employees and an annual turnover of approximately €50M, the mission is to ensure profitable and sustainable growth, optimize the financial structure, and foster a culture of operational excellence and digital transformation.
Key Responsabilitites of the role:
* Define and execute the financial strategy aligned with corporate and growth objectives.
* Lead all finance functions: management control, accounting, reporting, taxation, treasury, audit, and risk management.
* Oversee financial planning (forecast, budgeting, business plan) and ensure compliance and follow-up.
* Design and implement KPIs and dashboards to provide visibility and control over business evolution.
* Analyze and optimize service/project profitability and cost structures.
* Drive operational efficiency and financial digitalization initiatives, including process automation and emerging technology adoption.
* Manage relationships with financial institutions, insurers, and other key stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with legal, fiscal, and regulatory requirements.
* Actively participate in corporate transactions (M&A, investments, joint ventures), leading financial analysis and integration.
* Foster a financially driven culture focused on profitability and value generation, enabling business units through sound financial practices.
* Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecasts.
* Proactively support the finance group and actively participate the group finance organization.
Key requirments for the role:
* Degree in Business, Economics or similar. MBA or Master in Finance is a plus.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance/Controlling.
* Strong understanding and previous experience in the consulting environment is mandatory, including business models, cost structures, and project dynamics.
* Proven track record in financial transformation, ERP implementation (Navision, SAP, NetSuite), and BI tools.
* Ability to lead high-performance teams and manage change in dynamic settings.
* High professional English level (C1 minimum). French will be a plus.
If you also have the following experience will be plus:
* Experience in mid-sized, fast-growing companies or scale-ups.
* Exposure to M&A processes or post-merger integration.
* Familiarity with IFRS and European tax/accounting frameworks.
* Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams in strategic initiatives.
