Software Radio Systems has an opportunity for a skilled software engineer to join our team for an immediate full-time opening. As a Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) Software Engineer, you will participate in research, simulation, and prototyping activities related to cellular communications systems in a satellite environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the design of new features in Non-Terrestrial Network systems.
* Perform technical analysis, simulation, and modeling related to challenges in a cellular satellite RF environment.
* Design and utilize RF testing environments to prototype and analyze solutions for NTN systems.
* Conduct R&D activities as part of publicly funded international research projects.
* Support academic and industry partners in conducting R&D with SRS software solutions.
Qualifications:
Good technical communication skills are essential. Experience in developing software radio applications using Ettus USRP SDRs or similar is highly valued, along with a strong foundation in wireless communication prototyping and research. Experience with satellite communications is a plus. Candidates should be self-driven and eager to learn more.
Travel expectations are light, mostly involving company and project meetings. Candidates must be authorized to work within the EU and fluent in English. The position is based in Barcelona, collaborating with the SRS R&D team there. We cannot currently sponsor visa applications.
