Game Path is working with a major mobile game developer based globally, actively seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join their established team on an award winning title.
The role is permanent and hybrid working out of their Barcelona studio. Please consider that fully remote working is NOT an option for this specific role.
Position overview
As Senior QA Analyst, you will take ownership of the quality strategy for a live, large‑scale mobile title, ensuring that new features, content updates and live operations releases meet the highest standards of quality and player experience. You will work closely with production, design, engineering and data teams to define test approaches, identify and mitigate risks, and embed best‑practice QA processes throughout the development lifecycle. This is a hands‑on role where you will both execute complex test plans and provide leadership, mentorship and coordination to other QA team members.
Key responsibilities
* Own end‑to‑end QA process from feature definition through release and post‑launch support.
* Design, execute and maintain test plans/cases for features, events and live ops updates.
* Coordinate QA resources, track defects and provide quality reporting to stakeholders.
* Analyse live issues, player data and telemetry to identify risks and validate fixes.
* Champion QA best practices, support automation and collaborate across production, design and engineering.
Requirements
* Proven Senior QA experience on shipped/live large‑scale mobile F2P games.
* Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, mobile platforms (iOS/Android) and bug tracking tools (JIRA/TestRail).
* Strong analytical skills and ability to define acceptance criteria/release strategies.
* Excellent English communication for technical/non‑technical stakeholders.
* Ability to work hybrid in Barcelona (no full remote).
Nice to have
* Experience with test automation frameworks for mobile (e.G. Appium, internal tools) and scripting knowledge (e.G. Python, JavaScript, or similar).
* Background in free‑to‑play systems, live operations, in‑game events and A/B testing.
* Experience working with external QA vendors and managing off‑site test teams.
* Familiarity with analytics tools and using data to inform testing priorities and quality decisions.
* Passion for mobile games and current knowledge of market trends and player expectations.
