Overview
Business Analyst I, Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) Capability Team based in Bangalore focuses on measuring Amazon’s end-to-end Customer Experience. This role contributes to critical general services that support customer experience insights and decision making.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly available dashboards and metrics using SQL, QuickSuite and Excel.
- Perform data analysis and visualization using Python.
- Identify automation opportunities and deliver them.
- Understand stakeholder requirements and map them to data sources/data warehouse.
- Own delivery and backup of periodic metrics and dashboards to the leadership team.
- Draw inferences and conclusions, create dashboards and visualizations of processed data, and identify trends and anomalies.
- Execute high-priority (cross-functional, high-impact) projects to improve operations performance.
- Perform business analysis and data queries using appropriate tools.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as business teams, engineering teams, and partner teams to align on focus areas.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with SQL or ETL.
- 1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
- 2+ years of Excel or Tableau experience (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables).
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using very large datasets.
- Experience scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make assumptions, perform insightful analysis, and draw conclusions relevant to the business problem.
- Communication skills – ability to convey complex technical problems in simple, clear stories and present information professionally with supporting data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a track record of delivering large, cross-functional projects with evolving requirements.
- Scripting languages such as Python to automate tasks and solve problems.
