Position within the Eurofighter Avionics Joint Team (AJT) in Warton, UK, with a minimum stay of 3 years at Airbus Defence and Space S.A.U. (Spain).
Overview
You will join the EuroFighter COMMS Avionic Join Team, responsible for the overall integration of all communication systems in Eurofighter and support other EF AVS subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Communications group: Definition of contractual interoperability requirements; generation of Level 2 design (functional requirements, interfaces and protocols); DOORS requirements and traceability; hazard analysis, etc.
- Avionics Front End Team: System architecture and system level design.
- High level design of other sub‑systems – Attack and Identification, Armament Control System, Navigation, Defense and Aids Sub‑System, Displays and Controls, Integrated Monitoring and Recording System.
- Test requirements and analysis including system problem reports management.
- Avionics clearances and system safety.
- Coordination and management activities by product managers.
Qualifications
- Education: Aeronautical, Telecommunications, Industrial/Electronic Engineering degree or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in Systems Engineering, preferably Avionic Systems.
- Soft skills: Negotiation and communication skills for agreeing design and interfaces in a multicultural environment.
- Technical knowledge: Systems engineering related to Avionics and Communications systems or other related systems; front‑end development processes in EF; knowledge of project specific tools (DOORS/RMT, ICDTool, Statemate, PCMS…).
- Independent and responsible member of an international team in a multinational project environment; result‑oriented; good written and spoken English.
