We are currently looking for a Process Engineer – Composites to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will translate composite product designs into robust, efficient manufacturing processes and help drive continuous improvement across our production environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Process Engineer – Composites, you will play a key role in developing, improving, and industrializing manufacturing methods for composite parts used in aerospace and space applications. You will work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure the right balance of quality, lead time, and cost.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will support the efficient manufacture of composite parts by translating product design into practical, cost-effective production methods and by continuously improving existing processes.
Your work will focus on identifying the best technical solution for each project, balancing product quality, manufacturing lead time, and cost.
· Translate composite product designs into efficient, scalable manufacturing solutions.
· Design product adaptations to improve manufacturability and production efficiency.
· Define and validate manufacturing strategies in line with customer requirements and specifications.
· Develop tooling, moulds, equipment concepts, and process documentation for production.
· Lead prototyping and process development activities for new or improved manufacturing methods.
· Support process trials, machine and tooling validation, and production issue resolution.
· Analyse process data, prepare technical reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
· Collaborate with structural, mechanical, design, automation, and project teams throughout the product lifecycle.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a hands-on engineer with a strong technical mindset, a practical approach to manufacturing, and the ability to communicate clearly across multidisciplinary teams.
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.
· 2–5 years of experience in composite materials manufacturing, process engineering, or industrialization.
· Practical knowledge of composite manufacturing processes such as Prepeg, autoclau, hand lay-up, wet lay-up, resin infusion, RTM, and related thermoset or thermoplastic technologies.
· Other valued knowledge such as Autocad, Catia, Inventor, etc.
· Both fluent English and Spanish is needed.
