We are seeking a Credit Controller for our Spain office. This role involves managing complex insurance debtor and creditor accounts in an international environment, working alongside other credit controllers.You will primarily liaise with international and domestic customers, insurance intermediaries, and reinsurers to ensure timely collection of premiums and recoveries.You will handle broker and reinsurer accounts, build effective relationships, and collaborate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to resolve queries. Strong analytical, relationship management, and communication skills are essential.You should have a keen interest in our international insurance programs, including re-insurance, and a desire to develop your knowledge further.Key Responsibilities
Reconcile debtor and creditor accounts, analyze differences, log queries, and monitor resolutions.Maintain effective relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.Achieve debt and cash targets in size, volume, and age.Respond to requests for information, prioritize tasks, and communicate with finance and other teams.Follow credit control processes and contribute to process improvements.Work within your authority levels, seek approvals when necessary, and adhere to policies.Issue and send monthly statements to brokers.Participate in projects and initiatives as needed.Understand legal requirements and RSA policies, including broker TOBAs.Accurately record data and ensure timely updates.Skills and Experience
1-2 years' experience in credit control or finance administration.Education at least at a higher educational level.Proficiency in working with data, tools, and systems, especially Excel.Good command of English and Spanish, both verbal and written.Effective team player with organized work habits.Commercial mindset and results-oriented attitude.Positive approach to change and new processes or tools.
