Imagine starting your day as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer at Siemens Energy, where you lead the safe and reliable operation of cutting-edge electrical systems. You’ll jump right into hands-on commissioning activities, working side-by-side with erection teams, sub-contractors, and engineering experts. You’ll coordinate system walkdowns, sign off on Erection Clearance Certificates, and drive the process from first energization to final handover. Every day, you’ll put safety first, prepare essential site documentation, and deliver impactful On-The-Job Training to customers—making a real difference in their operations and safety. How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead all electrical commissioning activities for assigned systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
2. Collaborate with erection teams, sub-contractors, engineering, and authorities to drive project success.
3. Ensure compliance with site regulations, EHS requirements, PTW, and RFFE procedures as a Senior Authorized Person.
4. Implement and coordinate switching procedures for first energization with all stakeholders.
5. Prepare commissioning documentation and deliver hands-on training to customers.
What You Bring
6. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or control engineering, or you are a qualified technician.
7. You bring at least 2-3 years of experience as a commissioning engineer, ideally with electrical systems.
8. You have hands-on experience with MV, LV, DC switchgear, Generator/Transformer Protection, and related systems.
9. You demonstrate strong intercultural sensitivity and a passion for EHS topics.
10. You communicate effectively with both your team and customers.
11. You are fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
12. Willingness to travel internationally up to 80% of the time.
