CAREER OPENING: FACILITIES / INSTALLATIONS PROJECT MANAGER | MÁLAGA, SPAIN
Fuerte Group Hotels is seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Installations Project Manager to join our technical team in the Málaga/Marbella area. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, renovation, and maintenance projects for all complex electromechanical and energy systems across our hotel portfolio.
1. Position and Mission (ROLE DETAILS)

* Mission: Ensure the successful execution of technical projects related to installations (HVAC, plumbing, electricity, sanitation, fire safety), guaranteeing projects are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to all regulatory standards.
2. Essential Job Functions (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
Your role encompasses the full life cycle of technical installations and facilities projects:
2.1. Project Planning & Budget Control
* First, define the technical scope, objectives, timeline, and resource allocation for new construction and renovation projects.
* Prepare detailed project budgets, monitor expenses, and manage deviations actively.
* Therefore, ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high quality and efficiency in all installed systems.
2.2. Technical Supervision & Quality Assurance
* Supervise and coordinate external vendors, contractors, and specialized technical teams (e.g., electromechanics, hydraulics).
* Guarantee all installations comply with local, national, and European technical regulations and energy efficiency standards.
* Specifically, oversee the commissioning of new systems (HVAC, solar, plumbing) to verify optimal performance before handover.
2.3. Stakeholder Management & Documentation
* Serve as the main technical contact between the General Management, the Operations team, and external engineering firms.
* Maintain complete and meticulous project documentation, technical files, and post-project closure reports.
* Furthermore, contribute to defining and improving technical specifications for future hotel developments and refurbishments.
3. Candidate Profile (JOB REQUIREMENTS)3.1. Qualifications & Experience
* Education: Engineering Degree (Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or equivalent technical qualification is mandatory.
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in technical project management, preferably within the hotel, large building, or industrial sector.
* Software: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
3.2. Language & Regulatory Knowledge
* Language: Fluency in Spanish and English (both written and verbal) is required to manage international vendors and internal stakeholders.
* Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of current Spanish/European technical building codes (CTE) and regulations governing thermal and energy installations.
3.3. Key Abilities
* Proven analytical skills for budgeting, risk management, and technical evaluation.
* Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to drive projects and manage conflicts.
