Divisions
- BOLD Technologies (BT): Designs, develops and manufactures high-voltage battery systems and electric propulsion system components for defence applications, tactical vehicles, military platforms, aviation and advanced mobility. BOLD is an international benchmark in defence electrification, supplying systems to United States Army programmes and collaborating with leading defence primes in the US and Europe.
- BOLD Applied Engineering (BAE): Provides top-tier professional engineering services, primarily to elite motorsport teams (especially Formula 1), in areas such as composite design, mechanical engineering, aerodynamics and systems integration. This expertise is transferred directly to complex defence sector programmes.

We are looking for a Senior Hardware engineer to ensure the development of cutting‑edge, high‑quality, and regulation‑compliant hardware systems for Bold’s electrification projects. Act as a technical reference for the team, enabling fast and robust delivery of hardware solutions that contribute to Bold’s purpose of pushing boundaries in high‑performance electric mobility.

Key Responsabilities
- Hardware System Design & Development
- Lead the concept and detailed design of hardware systems for internal and customer programs.
- Own the design of schematics, PCB layout, and system architecture using tools like Altium.
- Ensure the integration of electrical systems with safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory standards.
- Propose and implement improvements in hardware design methodologies and practices.
- Ensure documentation quality and traceability of development activities.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration & Program Interface
- Act as the hardware representative in multi‑disciplinary project teams.
- Coordinate with Systems, Mechanical, Software and Testing teams to align product design.
- Communicate clearly hardware needs and constraints to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure product performance, cost, and manufacturability are balanced in the design process.
- Validation & Testing
- Define and supervise validation plans, test protocols and pass/fail criteria.
- Execute hands‑on testing using lab tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.) as needed.
- Lead root cause analysis of failures and iterate design when required.
- Ensure EMC and functional safety requirements are addressed early in development.
- Mentorship & Technical Leadership
- Guide junior engineers through technical reviews, pair design sessions, and mentoring.
- Ensure team members follow best practices in design, simulation, and documentation.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge in schematic & PCB design (Altium).
- Advanced knowledge in high‑voltage systems and vehicle architectures.
- Advanced knowledge in analog/digital circuits, SI/EMC.
- Functional safety (ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
- Fluent in English.
Desirable Skills And Additional Experience
- Experience in embedded hardware development (knowledge of SPICE® is a plus).
- Knowledge of functional safety.
