Head of Function : Set a vision for long-term organizational success at the global/regional business level and implement respective strategic plans. Oversee the development and execution of objectives, plans, and policies, and be accountable for continuous efforts to improve Deutsche Bank’s competitive position and performance. Ensure financial success by controlling budget planning, management, and the P&L. Maintain internal and external key business relationships. Ensure alignment with the DB risk management framework, current regulatory, and compliance requirements. Represent the function in senior forums and committees.
Role Responsibilities: Independent Risk Management. Active participation in drawing up the risk strategy. Challenge management on issues and the development and implementation of the strategy.

o Develop and manage risk reporting for Board decision-making.
o Participate in local Senior Management, challenge management of issues, and contribute to risk strategy development.
Skills
* Risk & Regulatory experience : Measurement, monitoring, compliance, and management of risks, including testing and reporting deficiencies.
* Business experience : Extensive risk management experience in banking, understanding of regulations (e.g., Bank of Spain, Basel IV), products, processes, systems, and risk analytics. Experience in credit risk, strategy, business planning, and regulatory implications, especially in Spain and Europe.
* Leadership experience : Managing risk teams within financial institutions, strategic thinking, and excellent communication in Spanish and English.
* Qualifications : Recognized risk qualification (IRM Certificate or equivalent) and a degree in economics, law, or related fields.
* Soft skills : High standards, discretion, networking, proactive problem-solving, and ability to manage complex priorities under pressure.
