What you'll achieveYou will lead packaging development across all formats, ensuring compliance with legislation, sustainability goals, and supply chain requirements. Your main impacts will include:
Packaging Development: You will develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, including display materials. You will support industrialization by working with third‐party manufacturers and internal functions to scale up products, attending factory trials and launches when required and contributing to problem‐solving and continuous improvement across all packaging elements.
Sustainability: You will test and evaluate alternative materials for contingency, sustainability, and cost‐saving opportunities.
Innovation: You will identify new trends through exhibitions and supplier visits, feeding inspiration into innovative workshops.
Project & Budget Management: You will ensure all packaging for innovation and renovation projects is delivered on time and aligned with strategy. You will propose and manage the yearly packaging budget (testing, certifications, trials) and ensure compliance with the standardized process.
Technical Support & Data Governance: You will provide packaging expertise to Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Quality (including complaint management). You will specify packaging materials, support the qualification of new suppliers, and maintain all packaging data accurately in SAP.
Cross‐Functional Collaboration: You will build strong working relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders (packaging suppliers, third‐party manufacturers, and industry specialists).
Who you areWe are looking for a reliable, organized, and innovative professional with a passion for packaging technology.
The Essentials (Must Have):
Education: Bachelor's or College Degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Packaging Technology.
Experience: Professional experience in packaging development (plastics, paper, corrugated) and strong project management and packing materials background.
Language Skills: Minimum B2 level in Spanish and English is required.
Tech‐Savvy: Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is a must.
Key Competencies: Solid analytical, planning, and problem‐solving capabilities. You are a results‐driven team player with a continuous improvement mindset and strong communication skills.
The Plus (Nice to Have):
Specific Background: Practical experience in food packaging and production technologies ( 6+ years is a strong asset). General experience in the food industry is highly desirable.
Advanced Systems: Knowledge in SAP S/4 Hana and Power Apps is highly valued.
