Dow Jones Risk & Compliance is a global provider of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. We deliver data, research tools and services to help our clients meet anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, anti-corruption and economic sanctions regulations and mitigate third-party risk.
You will join a team of multilingual experts who research, record and update details on individuals and entities from specific countries for the Dow Jones Risk & Compliance database. You will report to a manager within the Risk & Compliance research team. This is a one-year full-time contract position based in Barcelona. We have 10 vacancies for this role.
You Will:
1. Create and update Dow Jones Risk & Compliance profiles for a variety of countries and Risk & Compliance contents
2. Research and extract relevant data adhering to Risk & Compliance coverage guidelines on content selection, data coverage and accuracy standards ensuring that people and entity profiles are complete, accurate and up-to-date
3. Monitor and analyse relevant publicly available websites and media sources
4. Contribute to workflow improvements and tool efficiencies using an automation mindset
5. Maintain and monitor existing automated workflows
6. Respond in writing to clients’ questions about Risk & Compliance content
You Have:
7. Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: Bulgarian, Estonian, Italian, Romanian, Slovenian, Dutch, Greek, French, German, Hungarian, Polish or Portuguese
8. Knowledge of AI Tools, Python, HTML, advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros/VBA programming and/or SQL
9. The ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines
10. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively
11. Excellent research, analytical and writing skills
12. Proofreading skills and experience in handling large volumes of information
13. Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
14. A reliable and responsible attitude and an ability to work autonomously
15. An openness to different views and appreciation of team diversity
16. An ability to work well with others
Preferred:
17. Fluency in additional languages
18. Understanding of the local legal landscape in the European Union
19. Knowledge of and interest in current affairs and anti-money laundering regulations
20. Education to a degree level or relevant experience
