Job Description

DP World is seeking a dynamic Regional Key Account Manager (RKAM) to join a small European strategic team. This role is pivotal in targeting and managing major accounts within the Industrial vertical, focusing on Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Value Add Logistics services. The RKAM will be a key integrator between DP World’s business units, driving synergies, developing holistic supply chain solutions, and leading cross‑selling initiatives for strategic key accounts. This position demands a blend of commercial prowess, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the European Freight Market in a global context.


Key Responsibilities

* Strategy & Growth: Support the development and execution of a comprehensive growth strategy for the Industrial vertical in Europe across DP World's logistics offerings.
* Business Development: Generate effective leads and opportunities, leveraging an existing network and designated target accounts, to meet and exceed financial growth targets.
* Client Relationship Management: Identify, develop, and expand relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders at various levels within customer organisations. Serve as the front‑line point of contact for daily customer account management.
* Solution Alignment: Understand and articulate how DP World’s offerings align with customer goals, and possess a thorough understanding of the customer's business, buying process, and full requirements.
* Sales & Negotiation: Coordinate RFQs for new business and renewals, own commercial relationships, and lead contract negotiations.
* Commercial Operations: Maintain CRM discipline with an accurate pipeline, follow internal commercial processes, and foster close cooperation across DP World functions (Account Management, GKAM, Operations, IT, HR, Finance).
* Financial Analysis: Support the preparation of pricing, cost estimates, and proposals. Conduct regular analysis of pricing, cost, and profitability, and defend pricing internally and externally.
* Reporting & Communication: Forecast and track key account metrics, communicate progress to stakeholders, and prepare presentations for business reviews. Monitor important contractual KPIs and support customer MBR/QBR/SBRs.
* Integrated Solutions: Work across Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics services, acting as a single point of contact for all DP World Logistics services to the customer.


Qualifications & Experience

* Technical or commercial related credentials from a University/College or equivalent work experience.
* At least 10 years in a similar role with an excellent network of contacts within the industrial logistics sector.
* Demonstrated experience in Business Development and Account Management with a proven history of commercial success with mid‑cap and large‑cap customers.
* Significant international Freight expertise.
* Experience working within the Industrial Sector in a Logistics environment (e.g., Aerospace, Defence, HVAC, Renewables, Mining, Metals, Machinery).
* Excellent knowledge of Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, 4PL, multimodal, customs brokerage, and Industrial vertical‑specific requirements.
* Strong understanding of global logistics, including Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics.
* Fluent communication in English and a local language is mandatory; fluency in more than one additional language is a plus.
* Ability to empathize with clients, understand their requirements, and champion their needs internally.
* Proficiency in interpreting data and deriving solid conclusions from analysis.
* Ability to create structure and organization within a fast‑moving environment.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
