THE ROLE
AG1 is seeking a Senior Manager of Contract Manufacturing. You will support the Regional Director of Supply Chain and the Global Director of Manufacturing in overseeing third-party manufacturing processes, ensuring high standards and quick resolution of quality or performance issues. Your responsibilities include process improvement, qualifying new facilities, supporting scaling efforts, monitoring plans and schedules, enforcing safety protocols, and using SLAs and KPIs to enhance organizational performance. The ideal candidate has substantial experience in manufacturing, especially in fast-paced leadership roles.
This position is remote, based in Ireland, Spain, or the Netherlands.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
1. Identify, evaluate, and onboard third-party manufacturing partners across the EU, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
2. Implement root cause analysis and collaborate with Quality to meet standards and resolve issues.
3. Monitor manufacturing plans to optimize resource use and reduce costs.
4. Lead inspections and quarterly business reviews.
5. Ensure safe and timely shipments during high demand periods.
6. Drive cost improvements and process optimizations with Sourcing and Finance.
7. Ensure compliance with standards and timelines in production.
8. Support product development with operational onboarding of new vendors.
9. Develop mitigation and continuity plans during product transitions or promotional periods.
10. Ensure team meets KPIs and organizational goals.
11. Identify new opportunities and manage resources and budgets accordingly.
12. Partner with managers to align priorities and accountability.
13. Promote compliance and a safe reporting environment.
14. Develop and report on performance metrics.
15. Articulate strategic drivers and proactively address barriers.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* 5-10 years of experience with third-party contract manufacturing, including leadership roles.
* Experience in the Consumer Goods or wellness industry.
* Vendor onboarding, implementation, and account management skills.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and vendor management.
* Willingness to travel within the EU (~once/month).
* Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Data-backed analytical thinking.
