Medical Language Lead Job Description
About the Role
As a Medical Language Lead, you will oversee and guide a team of annotators to ensure the delivery of high-quality AI Data Services. You will be responsible for managing annotation projects for your locale involving medical text, transcriptions, audio, and related data.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and support a team dedicated to the project of your language
* Organize and maintain all relevant documents, suggesting improvements
* Communicate regularly with the client and stakeholders for your locale
* Attend all required project meetings
* Annotate clinical data from various databases
* Work on medical transcriptions, dialogues, and clinical texts
* Conduct Quality Control, addressing potential issues efficiently
* Ensure annotation consistency across all tasks
* Ensure all deliveries meet KPIs, metrics, and quality standards
* Implement feedback at the language level
* Identify and escalate anomalies or patterns in assigned projects
* Maintain daily communication with the PM on assignments, project status, and priorities
* Foster a positive team environment
* Ensure adherence to project specifications and procedures
* Work with the PM to identify and escalate project issues or areas for improvement
Required Expertise:
* Background in medicine, healthcare, medical translation, or life sciences, as you will work with medical-specific content (e.g., transcriptions, audio).
* At least 1 year of experience in scribing / transcription / coding experience in clinical documentation.
* Native French with fluent speaking and written English
* Excellent listening skills in French and ability to understand diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation styles.
* Experience in annotation projects, ideally within the healthcare or medical domain is a plus
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Technical curiosity and experience in different technical environments
* High attention to detail and sensibility towards quality work
* Experience in Translation, Philology, Linguistics, or related fields is a plus
* Fluency in clinical parameters, medical terminology, knowledge of AHDI guidelines, and ontologies (such as ICD-10-CM, SNOMED-CT, CPT, RxNorm and LOINC) is a plus
