Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies in order to increase online presence and improve marketing and sales efforts of the resort and its outlets. This position works closely with different departments to develop and execute the storytelling at the resort.
Responsibilities
With the guidance of the Director of Marketing Communications, design and implement the hotel’s social media and e-commerce strategy with KPIs.
Proactively plan creative, compelling, and targeted social media activity and campaigns.
Stay informed of upcoming trends and developments within the field of social media.
Research and develop new ways to leverage social content to improve performance.
Setting KPIs for social media agencies and using relevant social media monitoring tools to manage all the resort’s social channels.
Conduct competitive analysis of studies on competition and provide recommendations on content changes for the resort’s social channels.
Oversee and manage all social media accounts for the resort, including each F&B outlet, while leading community management strategies and daily engagement for every account.
Prepare and implement the annual social media content strategy in accordance to brand.
Plan and execute social media influencer campaigns, working closely with local and/or international influencers / KOLs and with the Public Relations agency.
Collaborate create and execute social media campaigns that will generate leads, drive quality traffic and fans/follower’s engagement.
Prepare monthly reports on social media for distribution to department heads and executive committee.
Work closely with various departments to produce quality content for social media.
Writing, commissioning, and editing materials a range of key hotel audiences for use across all social media platforms.
Plan, organize and oversee all social media photography / videography sessions.
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, eCommerce Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of solid experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality sector (resort experience is considered a plus).
Technical Skills
Excellent communication skills with an articulate and compelling communication style.
Strong writing ability, capable of adapting tone and style to different audiences and communication platforms.
Proven project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Creative mindset with the ability to think innovatively and work with flair and imagination.
Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
