Description of functions
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Application Support Analyst to provide technical and functional support for our business-critical applications. You will act as a key liaison between end-users, developers, and system administrators, ensuring smooth operation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of software systems.
Responsibilities
* Provide first- and second-line support for enterprise applications, ensuring incidents and service requests are logged, investigated, and resolved in a timely manner.
* Monitor application performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
* Troubleshoot functional and technical problems with applications and escalate complex issues to development or third-party vendors.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
* Document incidents, solutions, user guides, and support procedures.
* Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and support application changes or enhancements.
* Participate in system testing, release management, and deployment activities.
* Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and ITIL processes.
* Assist in user access control and security management for supported applications.
* Provide training or guidance to end users as needed.
Minimum requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 2+ years of experience in an application support or similar IT support role.
* Solid understanding of enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, financial systems).
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and analyzing data issues.
* Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy).
* Experience with Windows environments.
* Basic knowledge of scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or shell scripting).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting SaaS or cloud-based applications.
* Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
* Exposure to APIs, data integration, or middleware tools.
* ITIL Foundation Certification.
