By combining capital, carbon certification, and agronomic expertise, InSoil enables investors and farmers to drive meaningful climate impact and financial returns.Job SummaryThe Director of Regenerative Agronomy will be responsible for leading and overseeing InSoil's regenerative agronomy strategies and initiatives, guiding the development and implementation of cutting-edge soil health solutions, and ensuring that agronomic practices align with Insoil’s mission to optimize agricultural sustainability and productivity. This role requires a strategic thinker who is both a technical expert in soil science and a leader capable of guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative agronomy solutions for our clients and partners.Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of regenerative agronomy strategies that improve soil health, increase crop yields, and promote environmental sustainability, in collaboration with internal teams.- Oversee and guide soil science research, data collection, and soil health assessments to produce actionable insights for farmers and growers.- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to communicate the value of Insoil’s technology and agronomic solutions to clients, stakeholders, and the broader agricultural community.- Develop and maintain relationships with agronomists, researchers, farmers, industry leaders, and partners to ensure Insoil’s solutions are grounded in real-world, practical applications.- Lead and mentor the agronomy team, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.- Act as an internal expert, providing technical support and training to staff and clients on soil science and agronomic practices.- Create educational materials and farmer support resources focused on transitioning to improved, long-term agricultural practices.- Standardize operations across agronomy teams globally, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all regions where Insoil operates.- Establish and implement measurement frameworks for regenerative practices, including indicators beyond carbon sequestration (e.G., biodiversity, crop resilience, water infiltration, and other ecosystem services).Qualifications- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Agronomy, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.- 8+ years of experience in agronomy, soil science, or precision agriculture, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.- Proven track record of managing and executing regenerative agronomic strategies that drive productivity and sustainability outcomes in agricultural settings.- Strong understanding of soil health, crop management, and regenerative farming techniques.- Expertise in the application of technology in agronomy and soil management.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and communicate complex agronomy concepts to diverse audiences.- Passion for sustainable agriculture and a deep commitment to advancing environmental stewardship.- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, evolving industry.Preferred Skills- Familiarity with the latest trends in soil health technologies, precision agriculture, and ag-tech innovation.- Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) and data analytics platforms in agricultural settings.- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams.- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards related to soil health and agricultural practices in the European Union including the Common Agricultural Policy.- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards related to soil health and agricultural practices.Why Join Us?Be part of a purpose-driven, high-impact team scaling regenerative agricultural climate solutions across global landscapes.
