We are looking for a proactive and organized Housing Coordinator to join our team in Barcelona. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day housing operations, ensuring that students have a comfortable, safe, and well-managed living experience. You'll act as the key liaison between students, landlords, service providers, and internal departments to maintain smooth housing operations from move-in to move-out. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a dynamic, multicultural environment. This position is perfect for someone passionate about housing, hospitality, and students' lives. It's essential to live in Barcelona or nearby (metro). Emergency phone in rotating shifts. Working Hours: 10am to 7pm (flexible by 1 hour). Fridays can be remote, unless an express need to be present. —occasional weekend excursions.
Responsibilities and Duties
¿ Coordinate all aspects of housing logistics — move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and maintenance requests.
¿ Maintain accurate housing records
¿ Serve as the main point of contact for residents and housing partners, resolving issues promptly.
¿ Work with vendors and maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs and upkeep.
¿ Support incoming students with orientation and housing guidance.
¿ Track and manage housing budgets, invoices, and service payments.
¿ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housing regulations.
¿ Assist with room assignments and allocations based on availability and preferences.
¿ Foster a positive living environment by promoting communication and community engagement.
¿ Serve a part of an on-call rotation for Emergencies.
API policies and procedures
¿ Follow API policies and procedures as outlined Manuals.
¿ Advise students on a range of issues, including, but not limited to, personal welfare, safety, and cultural differences.
¿ Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies during activities.
¿ Refer and accompany participants to doctors as needed.
Qualifications
¿ Expert in Spanish and English (C1- Proficiency). Catalan is a plus.
¿ Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, social sciences, business administration, or related fields.
¿ Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
¿ Expert knowledge of local culture and cultural differences
¿ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
¿ Proficiency in Google Workspace
¿ Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
¿ Ability to work weekends and handle emergencies
