Department DescriptionGroup Finance is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Group's financial activities across a broad international group of over 50 countries. Group Finance covers a wide range of areas including financial reporting, accounting policies, technical accounting (IFRS), financial analysis, consolidation, and interaction with internal and external stakeholders. Alongside its core responsibilities, Group Finance plays an active role in finance‐related projects, regulatory and accounting initiatives, and strategic developments at Group level, and in reporting to shareholders and other external parties. Acting as a key interface between business units, finance functions and senior management across the organisation, Group Finance provides a comprehensive and integrated view of the Group's financial position and performance, making it a strong platform for professional development within the organisation.
Job DescriptionThe position is within the Financial Technical Analysis Unit. This unit provides a first line of technical and financial analysis and acts as a support function and link between Group Provisioning, Consolidation & Reporting and other stakeholders. The role aims to ensure the accurate measurement, analysis and explanation of financial and actuarial results under IFRS 17, their reconciliation with IFRS 4 and Solvency II, and their effective communication to internal and external stakeholders. The primary mission is to deliver high‐valued, quality technical and financial analysis, ensuring methodological consistency in actuarial and financial calculations.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the unit's data specialist to define the data to be extracted for accurate analysis.
Analyse Future Cash Flows (PVFCF) under IFRS 17 and ensure reconciliation between IFRS 17, IFRS 4 and Solvency II.
Analyse and explain key metrics and movements related to PVFCF, CSM, Risk Adjustment, Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet.
Act as main point of contact for internal/external auditors, actuarial reviewers and supervisors during audit and review processes.
Prepare and present technical information to Group governance bodies and stakeholders with clear explanations of results.
Investigate deviations, identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
Analyse the impact of methodological or assumption changes in coordination with Group Provisioning.
Implement new controls and analysis processes.
Required Qualifications
University degree in finance, economics, accounting, statistics or actuarial science. Programming knowledge is a plus.
2 years' experience in finance units or Big 4, or above.
Solid knowledge in insurance accounting.
Experience/knowledge in the IFRS 17 or Solvency II and financial analysis.
Fluency in English is required, verbally and written.
Experience with ERPs (Oracle Hyperion/HFM is a plus).
Experience with data querying/visualisation tools (Microsoft Power BI is a plus).
Strong analytical skills.
Highly engaged and self‐driven to learn and understand the "how and why" of business performance.
Customer and delivery oriented.
Ability to communicate and prepare presentations in a clear and concise manner.
Sound organisational and time management skills, understanding the criticality of adhering to deadlines.
Team player who enjoys working closely and collaboratively with others.
