What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Software Engineer Manager who will contribute to a project with one of our global customers, a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking and savings accounts. Full remote position. Only candidates based in Spain.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical Leadership: Responsible for creating clarity in all technical aspects of engineering, providing guidance & direction to the team in matters of design, architecture, implementation, validation and monitoring.
* Execution Leadership: Plan and prioritize the backlog, allocate assignments to team members, track execution of the project, and mitigate risks observed in the plan.
* People Leadership: Follow the right culture attributes (growth mindset) & values (integrity, accountability, respect) for team members to follow.
* DevOps: As part of the model “you build it, you own it and you run it”, ensure stable and smooth maintenance of delivered software.
* Performance & Quality: Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of delivered software.
* Supervise all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Align with Product Management goals and vision.
* Innovate within your team, initiative area and contribute within your technical domain.
Key Skills
* Relevant experience as Software Engineer Manager or Technical Lead.
* Experience working with international customers.
* Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Deep understanding of design patterns and principles (e.G., SOLID principles).
* Very strong Java programming skills and knowledge of building APIs.
* Experience with testing types: Unit, API, Acceptance, Load testing.
* Experience with distributed architectures like SOA or MSA.
* Experience with event‑driven architectures.
* Experience with REST APIs.
* Relevant experience with AWS services.
* Experience with Gradle or Maven.
* Experience with Enterprise Jenkins.
* Experience working in an Agile fashion (e.G., Scrum, SAFe).
Desired Skills
* Experience in a highly regulated environment, such as banking.
* Experience with Docker.
* AWS certification.
* Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate).
* Experience with TDD and BDD.
