We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Engineer.
The goal of this role is to develop and design new IT functionalities to support business projects or enhance the capabilities of SAP solutions. Development is based on analysis provided by Functional Consultants and approved by Senior ABAP developers. This role is crucial to ensure the evolution of SAP encashment or custom ABAP solutions with high quality.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, debug, and implement new or enhanced SAP solutions based on functional and design analysis documents, adhering to Delhaize IT standards and guidelines.
* Ensure activities are completed within planned timelines and budgets, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions.
* Provide support for applications in production (Level 3 support).
* Participate in building change management and lifecycle management policies and procedures for DG Group.
* Define ABAP development standards and templates for all SAP stakeholders.
* Follow DG Group's change and lifecycle management policies.
* Adhere to standards for ABAP development within DG Group.
* Coach and support development team members appropriately.
* Maintain strict control over development and deliverables to ensure high quality.
* Define and share development best practices with the team.
Requirements
* Minimum 7 years of experience as a SAP ABAP Senior Developer, including analysis and design of SAP implementation projects.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, training, and team leadership skills. Ability to lead, mentor junior developers, and provide technical support.
* Proven ability to conduct research and recommend changes in evolving environments.
* Experience in developing, testing, and deploying custom solutions in SAP Logistics and Finance modules.
* Expertise in ABAP programming, including Dialog Programming, Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Implicit Enhancements), Module Pools, and more.
* Experience with Output Forms (Smart Forms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms), ALV Reports, and ABAP Object-Oriented Programming.
* Knowledge of Data Dictionary, BAPIs, Workflow development, and Migration tools like LSMW.
* Experience in Interface development (EDI, ALE, SOAP, Web Services), SAP Query, ABAP CDS Views, Switch Framework.
* Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori development, including standard and custom FIORI apps, floor plans, templates, and UI5 libraries.
* Experience with S/4HANA development, SAP HANA architecture, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), and performance optimization.
* Ability to design and implement CDS, AMDP, and access control objects based on business needs.
* Experience in transforming legacy ABAP programs to S/4HANA architecture.
* Knowledge of SAP Screen Personas is a plus.
* Good understanding of SAP business processes in logistics modules such as Material Management, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Sales & Distribution.
* Experience in ISRETAIL SAP projects is highly desirable.
