Job Summary
Do you want to influence procurement decisions that power innovation and operational excellence? We are seeking a Procurement Category Manager EAME in Asturias, Spain in an agile/hybrid capacity. This role leads strategic sourcing initiatives that drive growth, innovation, and sustainability across our Taste business.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
As a Category Manager, you will develop and implement procurement strategies that align with IFF’s business objectives—delivering cost savings, mitigating risks, improving working capital, and enabling new product development. You will play a critical role in ensuring supply resilience and operational efficiency while reinforcing our sustainability agenda.
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead Category Strategy: Develop and execute regional category strategies for specialty chemicals, oils, and hydrocolloids to ensure supply security and cost competitiveness.
 * Drive Supplier Partnerships: Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to foster innovation, sustainability, and performance excellence.
 * Optimize Performance: Conduct market analysis, identify new suppliers, and implement sourcing strategies that deliver measurable results.
 * Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with Operations, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain to support business growth and operational efficiency.
 * Champion Sustainability: Embed sustainability principles into sourcing strategies and supplier engagement.
 * Mentor and Develop: Support the growth of less experienced procurement colleagues as part of our succession planning efforts.
What Makes You The Right Fit
 * 7–10 years in procurement of high-value direct materials, with a strong track record in strategy development.
 * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
 * Skills:
 o Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices and financial analysis.
 o Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
 o Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
How Would You Stand Out?
 * Excellent influencing skills to clearly convey procurement strategies and priorities.
 * Background in international or regional procurement roles is highly desirable.
 * Certifications: CPSM, SPSM, or similar certifications are a plus.
