Technical Artist Environment Modeling Support Trainee
to join our studio!
Our Internship Program offers its own unique learning opportunities. You will have the chance to network and meet with Skydance leaders, learn transferable skills, and gain real‑world experience. It is an ideal experience for those moving from the classroom to the industry.
This is a paid internship that will be held on‑site.

Responsibilities
Creates technical outputs for next departments, communicating with the artists assigned to the task.
Prepares technical scenes for artists in the department.
Tracks the technical tasks.
Addresses technical notes from other departments.
Assists artists when issues arise in the day‑to‑day processes of the department – e.g., creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies, etc.
Tests new tool implementation for the department along with other artists.
Updates basic documentation. Reviews and updates the technical documentation related to the workflows and tools of the department that they support.
Attends technical meetings as requested, to keep trained and updated on the new studio/department tools, pipelines, workflows, etc.
Requirements
Strong artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
Knowledge of some 3D animation area (modeling, surfacing, animation, lighting).
Experience in any 3D animation software (Maya, Max, or Houdini).
Coding is a plus.
Must be available for at least 3 months onsite (from Monday until Friday, 35h/week).
Must be currently enrolled in your last year in an Associate, Bachelor, or Master’s program at an accredited institution.
Self‑starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi‑task.
Highly motivated and interested in animation and technology.
Good team player!
High English level.
Spanish desirable.
